Fun Facts Cinco De Mayo
With Cinco de Mayo being this Sunday, there are a lot of festivals and things happening this weekend!
First is Turkish Fest this Sunday at La Villita from 11:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M. They will have live music, belly dancing, Turkish food and more! Admission to this event is free! Details can be seen at http://taa-sa.org/
Tomorrow is another festival on the west side of San Antonio. The Esperanza Center is holding Paseo Por El Westside. It runs from 9:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. and they will have tours through the westside neighborhood, workshops, food demos, and live music. This event is also free! There is also a Renaissance Festival happening much closer to home this weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M. at Jackson Ranch on Callaghan Road, they will be holding a Spring Renaissance Festival. There will knights, a magician, archery, food, music and so much more! Free admittance with a donation of $5.00 or some canned food for the Food Bank. Lastly, you can go to Mission Drive-In to watch an outdoor movie like we did years ago. Bring the kids, a cooler and some food and even the family pet if you like! They will be showing one of Disney’s newer films, “Ralph Breaks the Internet” on the historic outdoor screen. It is also free and the movie starts at dusk.
